This workshop is designed for intermediate painters with a solid understanding of basic color theory.   We will explore techniques for painting light and shadow, depth, and painting in color schemes.   The workshop is fun and exploratory and the artists will leave with greater understanding of using color to enhance their work, create depth, and will instill more confidence to facilitate breaking away from color copying photo references.

Becoming a Creative Artist

Each class will be 2 hours, once a week for 6 weeks

In this 6-week course, we will introduce you to the important elements of drawing, composition and design, color, and paint so that you can jump-start your journey as a creative artist. Our goal is for you to have the skills and vocabulary so that you can explore your artistic expression confidently on your own. It is important to us that you not only learn the fundamentals, but that we also guide you to seeing and thinking outside the box to expand your creativity.
