INTERDISCIPLINARIAN: GLORY DAY Solo Exhibition
November 6 - 27
Opening celebration: Friday, November 6, 5-8pm
For her first solo exhibition outside her hometown of Greenville, South Carolina, Glory Day brings together the many facets of her multidisciplinary practice in a unified body of work. Having worked with Meyer Vogl Gallery for several years across ceramics, painting, and sculpture, Interdisciplinarian reflects the breadth of her material exploration and her identity as a maker working across disciplines.
Rooted in a family history of textile and woodworking traditions, the exhibition examines the relationship between material, craftsmanship, and the hand-wrought object. These influences are brought into conversation with the visual language that has become central to her practice: still life and the familiar artifacts of the domestic environment. Through objects that are collected, arranged, stacked, and placed, the works explore how everyday forms can hold memory, history, and a sense of place.
