LOCAL: A Group Exhibition
Local: A Group Exhibition + Live Paint-Off
Opening celebration: Friday, November 17, 6 - 8pm
LOCAL is the very first art exhibition at our new Daniel Island location, and it celebrates the local artists that anchor the Meyer Vogl roster: Laurie Meyer, Marissa Vogl, Susan Colwell, Paul Ferrari, Nancy Hoerter, Susan Altman, Anne Darby Parker, and Carrie Beth Waghorn.
All hailing from the Charleston area, we welcome our featured artists to participate in a live “paint-off,” demonstrating each of their unique styles and mediums. Joining us as our live model will be Shaniequa Washington, owner of Zuriel Kingdom Collections. At the event, paintings from the live demonstration will be auctioned off to benefit the Lowcountry Unity Fund.
The exhibition and paint-off is a part of Culture Cake, an ongoing series of programs related to art and culture at Meyer Vogl Gallery on Daniel Island. The series is aimed at connecting our audience with local culture and inspiring discussions on a variety of topics, including art, music, history, fashion, food, and wine.
The show will be up in the Daniel Island gallery through December 16.
