Nectar Collector marks Melanie Parke’s second solo exhibition with Meyer Vogl Gallery and presents a new body of work exploring a variety of beings and plant life that thrive and cohabitate. Lush and layered, Parke’s paintings draw from landscape, interior, and still life studies, weaving them together into compositions that feel both intimate and expansive.

“Nectar Collector is a nod to the fragility, the beauty, and brevity of other species,” says Parke. “Lepidoptera, butterflies and moths, move about the world seeking nectar and light. They inspire me, the way they live, the way they are part of an interconnected cohort of beings pollinating our planet.”
